Thanks Russell - I'll get along and try lunch. I'm already addicted to their bacon sarnies :)
@ JennyC Passion Cafe is on the parade of shops opposite the Salisbury Pub between Seymour and Hewitt in the premises that was formerly Haringey Flooring
I am very much going to second Russell's recommendation for the new food cooked by Chang at Passion Cafe. I had the chicken with rice and salad. It was Indian spiced and beautifully cooked. Chang came out to chat and is very passionate about his food, coming as he said from a family of chefs. He can cook according to your tastes (and that of your kids, he assured me).
I appreciate the cafes around here where you know who the chef is and can chat about food with them (as opposed to the rather impersonal, increasingly hangar-like mega restos that are proliferating). Chang at Passion is another welcome addition to my list of places to treat myself.
Treat yourself to lunch.
Please tell me you will keep the Polish specials on the menu :-)
We went today for lunch, first time to eat vs having coffee. I had tilapia, mash and salad. Wow, I was so impressed. Spicy, fresh and lovely service and so reasonably priced. Think I've found my new favorite lunch place on Green Lanes.
