Harringay online

Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

On Sunday I had two treats.

The first was lovely Vietnamese pulled pork in a hot sarnie from Sticky Beaks at Harringay Market

followed by hanging out at the splendid Play Street in Pemberton Road

On Monday, I had to linger to admire Ant's street gardening in Frobisher - I love a petunia, me

On Tuesday, we were stopped in our tracks as we wandering back along the New River by a large family

On Wednesday we had an unexpected visitor to HOL drinks. After 7 years of an online friendship, we finally got Stephen from Berlin to the pub!

Thursday (today) I was delighted by this pretty front garden on Cavendish Road and its lovely blue door.

Any particularly good things happen to you in Harringay this week that you want to share?

Utterly lovely blog/article. I keep missing out on the HOL drinks, when's the next one? xXx

That's mainly up to either John or SapphireBlue since they usually pick a date for us to get together.

We do them quarterly on a Wednesday to coincide as close as possible with the equinoxes and solstices. I guess that means that the next drinks would be on the 24th of September.

Still two days to go - not given up hope yet

That's lovely. :-)

NHP's Summer Fair on Saturday! It was a great day even if it did rain for a while

Loved the ducks.

Loved the front garden and the blue door.

Happy Thursday...

Treat number 7 yesterday was a Thai-Style chicken soup

and spinach gozleme all made by Melda at Shamata.

My daughter and I are in absolute agreement that no one makes gozleme better than Melda.

I want one!

Terrific stuff but a small point.... should that not be "Viennese" Pork Baps?

No, it's definitely Vietnamese - flavourings and style. Here's the menu
