Anyone else got this problem? Effingham Road is a disgrace at the moment - weeds absolutely everywhere, in great thick clumps all over the pavement right up and down the street. Who are the best people to contact at the council? And will they actually do anything? Help!!

I'm not sure who's responsible Bushy. You could contact our Neighbourhood Manager, Dasos Maliotis, who's a decent sort. He'd be able to point you in the right direction.
Tel: 0208 489 4936
Mob: 079 6733 6231
email: Dasos.Maliotis@haringey.gov.uk
When you find out, please let us know and whjat response you get. Cheers.

Hi, Phil. It may be true that one person's wild flowers are another persons weeds, it does make an area neglected and encourages dog fouling and littering (that odd human logic that a load of greenery= bin). We have an idea to encourage flowers and plants in the streets and you can read more here on this topic.
Waltham Forest have an Adopt a flower bed scheme encouraging public gardening.
