I can recommend Zing Zing for takeaway. Food is better than run-of-the-mill Chinese, comes in cool American style boxes (as seen in every sitcom ever), prices are good and delivery is swift.
I was mad on Zing Zing for a while but now the quality seems to have dipped a little and it seems the prices have gone up slightly with portion sizes not quite matching. It's a shame, they had a really good thing going for a while!
I found it okay. It is just a simple 'basic' local Chinese restaurant which is a nice change from the many Turkish cafes here. I am not a restaurant critic but I like variety and so I am very glad China City is here. I would definitely be sorry if it went. You have to go the west-end and pay their prices if you want sophisticated Chinese food.
There's an apparently excellent Korean/Japanese place at Finsbury park (opposite Rowan's) that might satisfy your bibimbap cravings!
Sounds good. Love a good Bibimbap - and bento box and Izakaya - so any nearby tips are appreciated. Green Lanes is missing out!
Only been to Penang Satay House up Turnpike Lane. It was tasty.
You must be talking about Dotori. Last time I went I had an excellent meal.
I have been loads of times and often get their takeaways. There large, or should I say Huge, noodle soups are fantastic, especially on a cold or rainy day - I always struggle to polish mine off, but they are truly delicious and very good value. For Takeaways the combination boxes are good value.
A very good Chinese is the one opposite the library in wood Green - very authentic duck or duck and pork on rice - mmmH!
This used to be very good chinese - cheap, basic but tasty.
It seems to have changed hands/chefs recently and the last two visit have been frankly, pretty awful. The new sichuan menu gave me some hope, its all very authentic (if you have any interested in sichuan food I highly recommend sichuan cookery by fushia dunlop - best cook book I own) and who knows it might be good (I didn't try it) but they are trying to cook the old menu alongside it and failing miserably.
Everything on the new menu is also double the price of the old menu. Basically its a bit of a mess.
Whereabouts do you live? There's a Chinese takeaway on W Green Road which we prefer..
