Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hi everyone,

We're organising an End of Summer Festival on Saturday 27 September from 12pm till 9pm for everyone in and around Harringay.
It's going to be a day filled with good food, drinks, art, music, and loads to do for kids too.

We are still looking for people to help out and volunteer on that day, so if you want to be involved, let me know!

And save the date, cause we want to see all of you and your friends, family and neighbours there!

Brilliant. Where will it be held?

yes as per others would like to know where and we maybe able to support we have plenty of PA equipment etc and young act from the area - let me know - Tottenham or West side?

Hi Jessica. This sounds really great. Would there be stalls available? I represent a small children charity Burghley Road PlaySpace totally run 100% by local parent volunteers. It would be a lovely way to get more families in Haringey to be aware of thia service. Great you will be organising childrens activities.
Sounds great - but won't it sort of clash with the Harringay (Food) Festival?..
Oops!

Hence the oops!

I was hoping to play at the other festival and had already started writing songs specifically for the day. So please let me know your plans for music (and location etc)?

Is this a Harringay Market event?

Why isn't the Harringay food festival going ahead? I was looking forward to it :-/

The Harringay Green Lanes Festival is not going ahead because the Green Lanes Strategy Group disbanded in the face of online criticism from three witty Kiwis (sic) and decided that they would not stay together "just to run the festival". Sorry.

Ok just wondered because the initial post doesn't say who "we" (the organisers) are, and because I see that your email address is a market one, and because I live very close to the market and it would have been fun to get some mates over and combine it with a BBQ or something.

Maybe you could tell us who is organising it and where it will be held?

They're unable to agree a location (apparently some ridiculous argument about the gardens not being in Harringay) so I imagine anything they say now will be seen as prejudicing that decision. It will definitely be in Harringay though (perhaps even the gardens seeing as they are already closed off).

I think I've seen Hugh, Liz and Jessica at a meeting to kick it off a couple of weeks ago but that could have just been their AA meeting. There was lots of discussion on the "goodbye GLSG thread" about this but I'm sure they'd be happy for more help.

Who thought the Gardens were not in Harringay? And why?
Ok thanks well keep us informed.
