Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Political Parties Posting on HoL in the Run-up to Local Elections

This year I haven't had the same amount of time to give to the local elections as I did in 2010. So it'l be DIY. A couple of the local parties have already asked me what they can post on HoL. Here's where I think I'm at:

1. Each party may add one forum post outlining their policies and answering questions from others on HoL. Following the initial post, any additional comment candidates from that party want to make should be made as comments to the party thread. Harringay has three wards. There will be one thread per party to cover all wards.

2. No party representative or prospective councillor may comment on the other parties' threads.

Hi Seema,

Clearly we have completely contrasting opinions though it is great to see that you've rounded it all off with some fantastic humour.

I've just found you on Twitter... If you are who I think, then there are somethings we do not have contrasting opinions on.

Ps: I did prefer Jerry, but I just wanted to make you jealous so you'd want me more. Treat them mean, keep em keen and all that.

Good grief!

Oh Justin!!! I wondered where you've been.

How are you? Did you come on Monday, I was looking out for you.

I was away, sadly.

:( - You missed my cat outfit!!

See you at the next one, in July. Can't say no more as it's still hush hush and you're like the Editor of the Guardian now right?

;) x

Call me Alan.

Is this just a script lifted from 'Civic Hall', a new docu-parody/ democra-parady?
needs work on the title, 'Much Ado About Nothing?' anyway the editorial decisions are a democratic process so you get to choose the title and the ending...

Hugh your light touch oversight is much appreciated. You do allow bores etc but thats the price of it. I am a well informed person but find you post very useful info and ensure that the same few don't always dominate the agenda.

Quite right Philip, mind you, to be fair I have asked Lydia to post her manifesto but I dont think she has the time what with her spell checking posts and copy pasting comments.

Actually we were canvassing today, Sharon, in Seymour Road, and it was very encouraging.

We met some enthusiastic Conservatives and a few who were thinking of voting Conservative for the first time but what left more of an impression on me were several Labour party supporters who said they were probably going to vote Labour because they always had done, but they were actually biting their lips in embarrassment and apologising while they said it.

I felt sorry for them.  It must be dreadful when you have made a god of your political affiliation and then suddenly realise that the object of your admiration turned a long time ago into a barrel of worms.

Lydia Rivlin: PROUD Conservative Party candidate for Harringay Ward.

 Stockholm Syndrome on Seymour road?
