Not just a Nearly-New Jumble Sale: Family First Aid training for a Fiver

This Sunday Haringey resident Emily from First Aid 4 Everyone will have a stall to sign up parents/would be parents 'Family First Aid training for a fiver' at the Burghley Road Playspace Nearly New Jumble Sale.

Doors open from 10am on Sunday.

Other stalls will be selling goods for babies, children and adults. There will be homemade cake for sale, and plants for your garden.

If anyone's not done it, please do take up even a short course like this. It's extraordinarily empowering - I was trained by my college but have used it more on the streets than I did with students.  If we all just learn the basics, eg checking airways, hundreds of lives can be saved. 

Fully agree Pam. I did first aid training with St John's many years ago and do refresher training every two years. It's been really valuable at home and out and about (especially on the tube for some reason)
Again I agree. I did this course as a new mum and it has given me confidence to know how to react in an emergency. Luckily I haven't had to use it with my little one, but having the knowledge is always good. Emily is a fab teacher especially being a mum herself so the course is adapted with this in mind.
