Ive noticed a worrying trend particularly on Hermitage Road where people are casually dumping unwanted items on their garden walls, on the road outside the gate or on the nearside of their wall within their property, obviously in the hope that a passer by desperately needs a massive old fashioned telly, a grubby microwave, a broken bathroom unit and soap scummed bathroom accesories, a sewing machine, piles of neatly folded old clothes, books etc etc etc...listed items all spotted yesterday within a 50 yard stretch. Rubbish breeds rubbish and attracts bin rummaging. Considering that there is a huge recycling facility up the road in the Sainsburys car park this is just lazy anti social behaviour. I tried to help and picked up a weathered copy of Patrick Suskinds novel, Perfume, but the sewing machine was just too heavy ;)

Depends on the stuff Sharon. If I have something that I think someone might like I leave it on my front wall with a note inviting people to take if wanted (though I do clean it first and don't put anything electrical out). If it's still there by the end of the day I dispose of it. Got a great 1950s vase from a wall on Wightman a few weeks ago.
