Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Just over a week to go for the Harringay Hurtle on Sunday 16th March.

Update: The race numbers have arrived so we'll be giving these out at Harringay Market this Sunday.

Everyone who's paid their entry fee gets a race number to wear on the day and that shows they're entitled to the freebies, drinks and donuts etc we'll have at the end in Fairland Park. If you can come along to the market this Sunday to pick yours up that will help avoid delays getting started on the day.

So Harringay Market this Sunday! (still a few places left so come along if you'd like to sign up too)

If you've already entered don't forget to pay your entry fee, see the event page here for details.

The Harringay Hurtle is sponsored by Hane Estate Agents, they sponsored the lantern procession too...

Looks like the route has been tweaked a little bit e.g. I think an earlier diagram showed it going to the top of Cavendish Road?

I've been practising but haven't got that far yet so not a problem for me :)

Well spotted, it has. The problem with Cavendish is that its quite steep and we worried smaller kids on scooters might get a bit out of control, so we've moved that bit to Burgoyne which isn't so steep.

Note also that the start has also change to be at The Gardens Community Garden going to Fairland Park, not the other way around as it was originally.

Oh I hadn't spotted the change of direction, I think I would have been standing in Fairland Park feeling very foolish!

Fortunately again I have not yet started practising my sprint finish through the Gardens either!

...its a beautiful day to come along to Harringay Market to signup for the Harringay Hurtle, or to collect your race number if you've already signed up! And why not swing by the Mattison Rd planters while you're there for a bit of gardening.
