Hello!
**LOADS of 2p coins needed for a very good cause! Please drop them off at Michli and Sons grocers on Salisbury Rd by the end of January 2014**
Details:
A friend of mine at
Squeaky Gate is running a project to create a garden at this year's Chelsea Flower
Show, which is being designed and created by young adults with mental health problems.
They are raising awareness about mental health problems (which are experienced by one in six adults in the UK at any time) and challenging stigma at this high profile event.
They need £4500 worth of 2p pieces which will be used to cover the floor of the garden. All the money will be donated to Squeaky Gate's projects after the flower show.
The coins represent the economic cost to UK due to mental illness - 'The financial costs of the adverse effects of mental illness on people’s quality of life are estimated at £41.8 billion per annum in England. Wider costs to the national economy in terms of welfare benefits, lost productivity at work etc. amount to some £77 billion a year’

If you want to donate some 2p's, please start today! Even 10p or 20p worth of coins is appreciated. The easiest way to get them to Squeaky gate is to drop them off at Michli and Sons grocers, on the corner of St Ann's Road and Salisbury Road (if you're on Green Lanes looking north, take Salisbury Road which goes east opposite the Post Office. Walk down to where it meets St Ann's road and the shop will be on the left). I will pick them up from the shop and deliver them to my friend. Please drop them off by the end of Jan 2014. I'll update on here about how much I've collected.

Thanks in advance :o)
