I have to admit to not having been at tonight's Cabinet meeting. I have also not been able to view the footage, as the Council is not exactly renowned for its technological capabilities.
Perhaps some of those who did attend could fill us in on the Kober Kabinet's plan to evict those currently living in the Warehouse District.
Apparently, their arrival (several thousand people) was completely missed by the Council.
Apparently, the Council expect us to miss the connection between this act of social cleansing and their 'developer friendly' plans to provide more housing in the area.
Smokin' Joe Goldberg is the man on the Cabinet representing the Seven Sisters ward. He's also the guy in charge of Finance who sold off our access to Finsbury Park for a few bob.
Perhaps that's a bit harsh, as he is only working under the orders of his boss Claire... also a Seven Sisters representative (one wonders if the developers she serves live in the ward).
It's election year.
The opposition to this craven clan of Claire's cronies is, in my view, insultingly weak (my high school english teacher always said that alliteration is a powerful tool.... but she was a closeted conservative Kiwi).
I sincerely hope that a credible opposition to this bunch is established quickly and that they manage to engender some degree of respect within the electorate.
A choice over who governs us would be nice.

Sorry i couldn't understand what you're saying
The people who own the light industrial properties in Seven Sisters Ward have asked the council to rezone them as residential and basically evict anyone "squatting" in a warehouse so they can make a killing out of residential development.
As much as I sympathise with Phil's post and those people currently living there, we need to build new houses somewhere.
Have to say that the current live/work spaces are ideal for people who cant' afford to buy or pay commercial rent(thats a lot of people) People with children or out of work can't live there so at least they are removing a section of the people from the market for cheaper housing.
