Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!
Nearest grit bins
Following on from my last post on keeping warm this winter, I thought it might also be helpful for residents to know where the location of their nearest grit bin is in the ward so here is a list:
Allison road N8 - outside number 75
Beresford Road N8 - junction with HarringayPassage
Effingham Road N8- junction with Wightman Road
Green Lanes N22/Turnpike Lane tube station
Pemberton Road N8 - junction with Wightman Road
There is a map here and you can read more about the council's plans for treating roads and pavements during cold weather.
During the cold winter last year there were many complaints from residents about the limited gritting done by the council on roads and pavements in the borough and the lack of grit bins. Please do let us know if you have any similar problems this year. This winter is also predicted to be a cold and snowy one, so we expect the bins will get used a lot.

What about the rest of the Borough - it also includes Crouch End, Hornsey, Muswell Hill
