Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!
Reliable local builder recommendations?
We've just moved into a new house locally which needs a fair bit of work (problems with a chimney/new kitchen/plastering/new flooring/gutters etc...where to start). Does anyone have a recommendation for a reliable, honest local general builder who could come round and have a look, give us some advice, quotes, and refer to others where necessary?

A very good local builder who I used and our new neighbours have now also used is Daniel Piasta 07746152374. He and his team are reliable, honest and good value for money.

I'd recommend John Miles from Abbey Builders - he's great - been in the trade forever and is very knowledgeable. He's done lots of work for us and always at a very reasonable price. Here's his number: 07940 507623.
I'd also recommend Warren - 07852 412617 - he has real attention to detail so good for finishing jobs.

I contacted Dave on your recommendation and met him a couple of days ago. He seems like a really lovely, knowledgeable guy!
The works he described to your house sound very similar to what I want to do (I live on the ladder in Mattison Road). He said you would probably be happy to show me the work he did. Is there any chance I could pop over at some point?

Hi
We used Alan Markham, he is from out of London so I think he charges out of London prices. He has done more decorating than building for us, but think he can do both, and has a network of other tradespeople, electicians, carpenters etc that he can put you in touch with.

Michael Collins has just fitted a new kitchen for us and we are really pleased with the results. The job involved flooring, rewiring (he is a qualified electrician), replumbing, rendering and plastering walls and decoration as well as fitting the units and the appliances.
