I so love it when people use their fronts as gardens and not (just) rubbish storage or bike parks. Even though a few light-fingered Larries and vandalising Valeries can sometimes cause us hassle, hats off to the people who pop a few petunias in a window box or cultivate lovely roses by the garden gate.
However, I have to say I was in awe of this garden in Terront Road today which is absolutely gorgeous. The gardener has put boxes on top and in front of his garden wall and the effect is stunning.
This post is just to say thank you for making my (already very good) day.

Joking aside, I wonder if he loses many plants to the light fingered. There's a rather ominous patch of dirt on the floor in front of the wall. I hope not.
Absolutely lovely. I second Judith - thanks for sharing Liz. Brightened up my day and given me just the motivation needed to go and water the pots in our garden - thank you! ;-)
Yes, inspired me too. Stopped off at Michli's to get some thyme and oregano for my windowsill and six chilli plants for my front window box. Proof if any was needed that a small space can still be made to look heavenly with a little planning.
Not bad at all.. for N15.. *sniffs* In fact it's very nearly as good as two of ours - next to each other - in N17. (For the curious: they're where Handsworth road meets Gloucester Road). Yes, that's N17 - well known hub of Tottenham gentility - a cricket ball's throw from Broadwater Farm...
YOu do, dont you? I'll do my best. This weekend..
