Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

I was walking up Umfreville Road earlier and was near to tears by the time I got to the top of it. Someone has opened his/her heart to 'Lotte' by expressing his/her love and apology all up along the road. Here is the story in full across.

I hope Lotte sees it.

I'm glad there are more cynics here, I was thinking the exact same thing! If it is genuine it's really lovely though.

I live on Umfreville Road, and was momentarily freaked out when I saw the words "I am sorry" written outside my own gate!  It was only later in the day when I went out for milk that I realised that the message wasn't meant for me!  And yes, being the incurable romantic that I am, I followed the message all the way up the road to find out how the story turned out......It is so sweet.....  My next door neighbour's lurcher is called Lotte!  Maybe it's a randy staffordshire terrier who left the message....?  He made off with that strumpet Yorkie and now wants his first love back....?

Best explanation yet!

Saw something a bit like this back in October / November near Moorgate.

..about dogs??

Noooo!!! The writing on the pavement thing... being sorry etc. Can't remember the name though, but it was really similar if not the same thing.

Keeping a piece of chalk on you to leave messages on walls/pavements is a cubs/brownies thing if my memory serves me correctly....I certainly used to do it when I was a nipper!  It was in the days when you kept chalk on you to play hop scotch in the park......Things were so much more wholesome in my day!

Phew!

Looks like an artwork rather than a genuine message to me...it's a little too mannered. But it may be a genuine message from an artistic type I guess.

I have it on excellent authority (ie. from my neighbour who challenged the young man in question) that this is the real deal!  It was apparently a tall quite young gangly youth, who explained when asked, that he was leaving a message for his ex-girlfriend that walks that way home every day....  I also checked with Lotte the Lurcher and she denied all knowledge!

Thanks Antoinette. Nice to know it's for real.

PS: I've had a few requests for local Dog Whisperers.  Shall we arrange a conversation about advertising?

Oh boy. He's got it bad, poor chap. And he's either a real romantic, or a potential stalker.

I think if an ex had done that to me, I would actually have felt a little ill, and a tad afraid.
