I drove down Wightman at about 9.30 this morning and thought exactly the same - no surprises, but interesting visual evidence.
Cleveland Gardens is a cul-de-sac. Warwick and Stanhope Gdns are the through-roads.
Warwick and Stanhope would be through roads if they were not gated.
are through-roads more than the permanently shut Cleveland, and not shown here.
Hi Linka, i really didn't intend this to be a comparison between the Ladder and the Gardens. I think its a total given now that the bollards have been tremendously successful, everyone knows that. I was more interested in the comparison between the Ladder roads - eg i didn't know Frobisher was that much busier than the other north ladder roads, and it looks like Lausanne is one of the quietest which i wouldn't have guessed. Maybe thats because its a Sunday and week days have a different profile?
Anyway, as you mentioned Warwick and Stanhope, for comparison here are photos of them. Are those badger tracks in the Stanhope photo?
Do Lausanne at 12:30 on a Sunday. Gridlock.
I think Warham gets gritted as it's a through road which is why its clear. A good one to walk down to Green Lanes on for sure. I see a lot of people doing it from my window.
Are the school roads gritted as it looked like Falkland Road had been? Also the pavement on the school side had been gritted. Who does that? The council, school or volunteers?
The foot traffic is all at Fairland Park this afternoon!
