Did anyone else forget the new rubbish collection day?

Yes, Veolia - I put out my recyclable waste and they left mine and my neighbours on the new day for collection. Excellent service! I am glad I remembered to put it out. Brian Bowles Redston Rd.

We got the leaflet telling us there would be changes but didn't get the one saying which day we were changing to!

Here the rubbish was collected on the new revised day (Friday) but recycling was still collected on the old day (Tuesday). Confusing.

Can I please urge everyone who finds there's a problem with their new bin collection:

(1) Check the webpage to see if there's information which helps. http://www.haringey.gov.uk/bincollection.htm

(2) If not, don't just post on HoL or another website, please take a few minutes to phone Veolia. 020 8885 7700. I've used the number several times and - so far - not had to wait very long at all. Both Veolia and Haringey Waste Management do want to know if something's not working properly.

Thank you! I am really not impressed with this fortnightly-collection scheme atm - my street looks like a rubbish tip, with bags overflowing out of bins and lying on the floor just ready for foxes to get at. Took half a dozen photos of the mess and didn't know where to send them but seems I have somewhere now!
