Jolly Babies - volunteers needed to run play group

Jolly Babies is a volunteer-run drop-in playgroup for parents / carers and their children aged 0-3. We are looking for more volunteers to run this great playgroup.

Jolly Babies is open every Monday from 2-4:30pm (except bank holidays). It is located at the Under 5s Community Centre on Burghley Road, which is about five minutes walk from Turnpike Lane/Wood Green high street area.

Each week one volunteer opens the building, sets out toys, welcomes new members, puts out fruit for the kids and makes tea/coffee and friendly conversation. A separate volunteer will then tidy up at the end and close the building. Volunteers are rostered to open/close the playgroup once or twice a month.

If you have child/ren aged between 0 and 3, why not come along to Jolly Babies?  We have a separate room for babies including a soft play area, a large playing space for older ones with lots of toys, a ball pit and a fantastic, enclosed outdoor courtyard with climbing frame/slides and lots of bikes/cars. Jolly Babies costs £2 per family; this fee covers rent, tea/coffee and fruit.

Jolly Babies is very relaxed and friendly.  You don't need to book or hover over your kids, just turn up anytime and enjoy a much needed cuppa, chatting to other parents/carers while your children play.
