Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!
Poker room at back of Yavuzlar
Just popped into Yavuzlar fruit and veg (near the bridge) and there was work being done at the back. I asked what they were doing and the answer was making a poker room. Is this a new development, poker rooms at back of shops?

they have done in a couple o resteraunts/ kebab shops round here or as long as I can remember so at least 15y-wont mention were in case it causes trouble- seems more social, and quite harmless to me- quite unlike the massive betting legal shops which amass round here

Thanks for this. A bit of harmless, quiet fun, ok then... I dont suppose they are planning to open a Las vegas style casino so probably shouldnt be worried.

It may very well be a poker room and given what everyone else has said that is likely. However, it's my local Green Lanes grocers of choice and I sometimes chat to David who works there and he's quite a funny guy who often says rather unlikely things with a very straight face. So, if it was him you spoke to, I'd always take what he says with a small pinch of their finest salty condiment.

Yes it was David! You may be right... it could just be an extension to the shop. so maybe I started a fuss about nothing but at least we know now that there are poker rooms along Green Lanes for anyone who fancies trying their hand!
