I got conned - be careful

Often hear of the different scams round the neighbour hood so generally dont answer my door bell unless I recognise  the person

well my little wall between my neighbour and I, mysteriously fell down whist at work last week- the following day we stacked it up in the evening, 20mins later door bell went, a man impersonating a council man with his high vis jacket said they were doing special one off event where they were collecting people,s rubbish to raise money for children's charity- well I thought great, handed him £20 which he jumped at. I thought even if he isnt from the council, if he clears it up, and had assumed he had a truck and was clearing up all the ladder

 Anyways went out the next morning, to see it bagged up in the garden waste bags and sitting on the pavement outside my flat

so annoyed, and I feel such an idiot- wonder if the same guy pushed our wall over as well, and was lurking nearby

so if you wondered why you cant get a garden waste bag these days, well  thats the reason- they are being nicked by con men like him and go off to disposal unit
