Given that everyone needs to be saving water this year (and indeed beyond...) I thought it was worth publicising some freebies from Thames Water that I spotted today, available here:
https://www.thameswater-savewatersavemoney.co.uk/index.php/products...
It's all totally free, including shower heads, tap aerators, hippo bags for toilet cisterns, shower timers & even gel to put in hanging baskets so they don't need watering so often.
There's also a separate site for getting discounted water butts:
http://www.thames.savewater.co.uk/
Both of the above pages are linked from a general water saving devices page:

That's REALLY helpful! Thanks very much for posting this up :) I've already locked the hose up in the shed and plan to put the plug in when i shower, so i can water the garden with the water collection in the bath (will only be using Dr Bronner's soap though, anything else would damage the plants i think!)
I've just checked out the cost of a 100 ltr rain butt at Thames Water but it's cheaper (Including postage) on eBay TW are charging over £27 how is that discounted!
I've never understood why water butts cost so much in the fist place - £37 is not cheap. After all-they are basically the same as plastic composters only with a tap. I think water companies should be making them available at really discounted prices - £10, say - as did the council with composters when they were trying to encourage recycling green waste.
I agree Maddy.
Also, I was just thinking that as barely any rain is forcast for ages then how will we fill the butt up to make use of it! with a hose? (kidding).
(p.s. I've just spent half an hour scooping shower water from the bath to put on the garden so I am taking this water recylcing seriously.)
