Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Just heard from a neighbour that some roads seem to be affected by a power outage. I am not at home and wanted to see if there is any info on what is going on?

What is the score?

Twouls seem that since 7 some houses on Mattison, wightman and pemberton are out. Mine is, some further down are too. Bit of a prob for us, but it's an underground cable and they are digging it up as we speak. Am getting text message updates, hopefully we will be back online by lunchtime.

Would you mind posting as you get the updates, if it will go on much longer I will have to make some arrangements for my freezer contents.

Funny, the last time this happened the results were patchy on Pemberton. Apparently some housed were hit, others (next door, and between affected houses) were not. Something to do with them being on 'different phased circuits' if memory serves...

The further resources have arrived and they are digging down to the power cable.

Latest text indicates they have got down to the cable and are trying to find the fault.

Fault now located and repairs underway.

Well, power is on at my end of the road, and I suspect that the newly ringing alarm means that its just come on in another house too.

any idea if it hit Burgoyne? want to know if my freezer wil need checking when I get in....

I shall wander out and have a look.

Just had a wander down Burgoyne and all SEEMS to be ok. Mind they are still drilling down my street as there are still houses out.

Thanks for that!  No telltale signs of a powercut here.

Hewitt Road seem not to be affected with power cut but what we experience is that none of the telephone lines are working, both virgin media and Bt we have and some of my neighbours are affected as well.

BT knew there was a fault but they say it will be rectified in 72 hours.
