"Back in July 2011 the planning committee at Haringey Council refused Grainger's application for planning permission, putting a stop to their plans to demolish Wards Corner.
Unfortunately they didn't hear the clear message coming from local people or use this as an opportunity to actually work with local people for the community-led regeneration we all want to see.
Instead private developer Grainger PLC have decided to exercise their right to appeal the decision to the national Planning Inspectorate. This means the plan will be examined by an inspector and the refusal will either be upheld or reversed."
The deadline to send comments to the Inspectorate is fast approaching on April 11th! This is your last chance to tell Grainger what you really think!
See http://bit.ly/elXdCG for an outline text you can submit on the Planning Portal below
http://www.pcs.planningportal.gov.uk/pcsportal/ViewCase.asp?caseid=...
select "comment on this case" and then "interested party/person".
Thanks for your support people! SAVE WARDS CORNER, seven sisters!

Nobody who has an interest in this enduring planning scandal should be surprised at this. However, the longer this dispute drags on, the more likely scenario is that the building and those around it will continue to suffer from more years of blight, and our good friends at Haringey Council are to blame.
FROM WARDS CORNDER COMMUNITY - statement:
Many of you are probably experiencing problems using our links to submit
comments on Grainger's appeal, unfortunately the online submission form on
the planning inspectorate's website has not been working for the last few
days ....and with it being a Bank Holiday weekend the planning inspectorate
will not be able to check this until Tuesday at the earliest - the day before
the deadline!
If you want to submit a response to Grainger's appeal the best thing to do is
email your comments to the email address below quoting Grainger's appeal
reference number with a note to say the planning inspectorates submission form
is not working, as recommended on the inspectorate website if you are
experiencing problems.
