Thames Water Victorian Water Mains Replacement Project on Mannock Rd

Hi

We have Thames Water working on replacing the old pipes on our street (Mannock Rd) at the moment. As much as I appreciate them doing a good job and that it's a job that needs doing it has caused us some annoyance. We have a mouse infestation.

It's not an unbearable problem but it is persistent and has meant we have had to move into our spare room to escape the little blighter's. We have dosed them with poison and have invested in a less harmful plug in repellent which will hopefully do the trick. We have had the problem for 2 weeks now so our patience is wearing a little thin. We spoke to a pest control company who said there wouldn't be much point doing anything until the ground is recovered. 

Does anyone know a specific date when this work is ending? I have inspected the signs on the fences outside and each says a different thing. Both my husband and I have asked the workmen and been told either 'end of next week' or end of Feb. I have called Thames Water and after being put on hold for ages finally got through to someone who didin't know anything and said he had logged my call and someone would get back to me in 2 days time. 

I have spoken to the council and apparently TW don't have to give them dates when registering planning permission. 

Has anyone else had similar problems?
