New Haringey organisation to promote disabled people’s issues and interests

Can I remind anyone who is disabled to look at the survey from Equals Training. The idea is to raise a user led group who will campaign to ensure disabled people's issues are not ignored in Haringey.

Equals Training is in the process of setting up an organisation in Haringey run and controlled by disabled people, which is called Equals Voice.

The purpose is to promote all disabled people’s issues and interests, to put forward a strong and united voice that can represent our authentic views and make people in positions of power listen and take notice. 

The group will campaign, debate, discuss, share information and support each other. 

They are asking disabled residents of the borough to complete a short survey which has been developed to ensure that that everyone who lives and/or works in Haringey and identifies as disabled has an opportunity to participate in this new initiative.
