Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

The following from Haringey Council with a link to a one-question survey, asking what your priorities are for your ward. If your issue's not listed, there's less arm twisting this time and you're even allowed to name your own:

Local Plan Consultation

We’re currently at the first stage of developing a local Area Plan for each of the seven area forum/committees across the borough. These local Area Plans will address the improvement priorities for your area for the benefit of all residents.

We want local people to get involved so that each local Area Plan reflects the concerns and aspirations of local residents. To get involved and have your say complete our online questionnaire to tell us what you think are the four most important issues for your area, together with any you feel we’ve missed.

We’ll publish the results of the consultation online, which will be discussed at area forums and committees in the New Year.

The results will contribute to the development of your local Area Plan.

Another consultation from the Council, covering the whole borough:

Haringey’s Core Strategy sets out how the Council will deliver a better choice of high quality design, affordable housing, better community facilities, more schools and training opportunities, improved public transport and more attractive and safer streets and parks up to 2026.

The Core Strategy is the central document in the Local Development Framework.

Following the Examination in Public into the Core Strategy in June and July, the Council considers it appropriate toundertake a revised consultation on employment land designations included within the Core Strategy.

Have Your Say in this important consultation by visiting our consultation web page. The Inspector will provide a revised target date for his final report on completion of the revised consultation.

This page Your Area - Your Priorities erroneously states that all the local plans are now closed for consultation. The consultation for Crouch End , Stroud Green and Hornsey has been extended until Nov 18th. There is nothing to  stop anyone responding to it, whatever ward they are in.

The Core strategy consultation is so big and so set about with side issues that it is beyond me, but it does contain an implication for the Pinkham Way development which is set out on this link with a plea to respond by Thursday Nov 3rd.
