New member Kake would, I'm sure, be too modest to post this herself. So I'd like to draw your attention to a new guide she and some of her colleagues are compiling on London areas and useful stuff about London, The Randomness Guide to London. There's even a page on Harringay.

Thanks, Hugh! Here's a bit more about the guide, for those who're interested.
It's based on wiki software (the software was written by me and a couple of friends), so anyone can create and edit pages. For example, Hugh has very kindly put in some excellent work on the Harringay page linked above. Most of the writeups are of pubs and restaurants, at the moment, but there's no restriction on writing about other things. We have contributors who live and work in different areas of London, and most of us also like exploring different parts of London, so we're not focused on any particular area. This map of the articles which have been featured on our front page gives some idea of our coverage.
It's not a commercial endeavour, and it never will be. It will also never carry ads. It's something we do in our spare time, because we find it useful, we enjoy doing it, and we think it's a thing that should exist.
I would love to hear what people think of it — positives or negatives. There's always room for improvement.
This is brilliant. I can't believe the number of updates in the last week and even the last 24 hours. I typed in one of my favourite out-of-the-way pubs and you guys are already exposing their existence to the Internet-thingy crowd, so I can expect to wait even longer for a pint of chips and a silly looking glass of Belgian ale. Nice. ;)
Anyway, you're bookmarked and I'll try to fill in a couple of my favourite places around here that you don't have (Le Bistro... The Bishop's Finger....).
