Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Picture from Budgens

Over in Crouchie, the localist marketing strategy of Budgens continues to gather apace. On top of their growing roof, a couple of weeks ago they launched their 'Stall4All' feature.

With room for up to three stalls a day, the concept is aimed at local producers, artisans or makers, from within 20 miles of Camden and Haringey, who have made, grown, produced or created the products they intend to sell.

So, it might be a local maker of arts and crafts, someone who produces small quantities of handmade food like jam or cakes or a local with surplus fruit and vegetables from an allotment or garden.

The stalls are available for hire, seven days a week, from 9am – 8pm Mon – Sat and 12pm – 6pm on Sunday. It is also possible to hire the stall for half day sessions from 9am – 2pm or 3pm – 8pm.

So, interesting for you perhaps if you've got something to sell and worth passing by to see what you might buy.

To give you some sense, over the next couple of weeks, stallholders include:

HOMEMADE STUFF - a family run business producing preserves from locally grown organic ingredients. (No website found).

WEATHERSTONE THERAPIES - selling their range of aromatherapy facial serums and soaps.

GREEN ROUTES -  a social enterprise producing locally grown and organic vegetables and herbs (GR also provide training and real work experience for local people within the grounds of Finsbury Park).

INDULGE URSELF - handmade, natural and organic bodycare products.

ABIGAIL LINGFORD - hand painted and hand printed clothing by local artist using water based inks and organic, fairtrade and carbon neutral cotton.

No, I think, on the food side of things, this is what Kevin has in mind for Moka. Wouldn't that be nice.

More on Budgens website, including the schedule of who's selling what when and slots available.
