Harringay online

Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Site Admin for this site has previously gone under the catchy name of HCWAdmin.

As part of the forthcoming site rebrand, I've taken on a new name and a new look. I'm now called Site Admin..........catchy, eh.........but it does what it says on the tin.

My picture is taken from the cover of the programme from the visit of the Moscow State Circus to Harringay in the Summer of 1956. (See the programme). The logo above my picture is the new site logo, cleverly designed by our very kind and clever web designer to be an H but also to represent the grid pattern of Harringay's roads - Garden & Ladder. (More tributes to our designer on redesign launch). Click on the bear to go to my page and see a bigger version of the picture.

I'm a very friendly bear and happy to help when I can. I don't have a name. Can you christen me please.

'H' for Harringay, 'H' for Hugh, 'H' for Huggy Bear!
Noooh ......Not another bear..!!

My suggestion ... "H" for "Harry"(or Harri) Harringay..

2007 was the year of "Knut" (Canute) Berlin Zoo's Polar Bear baby..
This year another Zoo in Germany has bred a Polar Bear baby "Flocke" as in Flake (Snow)..
That said, time is running out for Polar Bears..

Does anyone remember the "Garry Gatwick" and "Stanley Stansted" bears?
