Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

The Lancatser and hurricanes went straight over Harringay on their way home. Right over the top of my house, giving me a great view from my living room window. Quite spine tinglingly nostalgic.

Did anyone else catch a peep?

Sadly I missed it this time Hugh but they take a similar route whenever they fly down the Mall.  It's amazingly nostalgic and well worth looking out for whenever there's a state 'do'...
Do you know where they're flying back to?
I think the Lanc lives at RAF Coltishall (north of Norwich).  I assume that the spitfire and hurricane are there too.
I had to work today. Took lots of pictures of Pearly Kings and Queens out of my window but would much rather have been back in Harringay watching Spitfires fly over. Jealous.
I was working too if that's any consolation.

I was trying to avoid anything to do with wedding fever by spending all day gardening.  BUT guess what? Yes the fly past got me and made me run for my camera in anticipation for the jets.

They tho sadly never came.

You live in Beresford and you missed them? You must have been extraordinarily unlucky. We're in Hewitt and heard them from indoors and saw them very clearly from our downstairs north facing window.
oh no! perhaps they went by when I was finding my camera.  I did enjoy the Lancaster especially.  Reminded me of my first ever airfix model.  I loved That Lancaster hanging from my bedroom ceiling : )
We got a great side view from the east side of "the hood" on Arena Design Centre Ashfield Road, I also had an "Airfix moment".
I wish someone had given me the heads-up - I'd much rather have seen them live than on TV! (The same is not true of the royal couple...)
Would have done if I'd known and I could have had my camera out too. Did anyone get a pic of any sort?
Yes, we got a good view in Lothair Road South... my husband attempted a picture but didn't get a very good one. Not least because of our dirty windows, oops.
