Furniture being thrown out from Oakdale Arms after closure
As reported here, the Oakdale Arms pub on Hermitage Road closed down on 19th March and the building will very soon be demolished. There is lots of decent furniture - tables, chairs, benches - that is in need of reupholstering/revarnishing but otherwise good quality. If no-one comes to pick it up in the next few days it is going to get trashed, so don't let it go to waste.

Well...it appears that HoLers went round and have practically cleared the lot! I'm very glad that it didn't go to waste. Anyone willing to let us know what they got?

Thanks Gina and the lads at Oakdale Arms, I got three wooden chairs to share in an allotment hut. We sit with our flasks (of tea!) and goodies and cogitate over wether to plant spuds now and risk the May frosts or take a risk and get an early crop. Its life on the edge being an allotmenteer so the chairs will come in very handy.
