Black Boy Lane LTN re-imposed today!
Just a warning that there are small signs saying that the LTN is being reimposed on 22/7/24.
It's not clear whether the reimposition starts 22 July or 23 July.
Of course, the signs are not prominant and appear immediately before and after the physical barriers so you only notice them as you drive through.

Was this LTN suspended due to the closer of West Green Road by Cadent further down towards Tottenham?

Yes.
I hoped it would become a permanent arrangement. It has eased some of the congestion on West Green Rd.
Black Boy Lane is a logical thoroughfare. Keeping the other LTNs but opening up Black Boy Lane would be a win.

The WGR works finished a bit early, last week I think.
Will be nice to have the LTN back in place. Black Boy Lane is grim to walk up and down when it's full of cars.

But too bad for all those walking along WGR from Green Lanes who will now have to put up with all the fumes from the cars in the gridlock though eh, cos the LTN is now back?

I probably walk along West Green Rd ten times more than Black Boy Lane and although I would agree it is busier I don't think it is any more unpleasant than it previously was. It was a busy road and still is a busy road.
For Black Boy Lane on the other hand it has made a significant difference.

As someone who had lived in the area for over 30 years, walking/driving/taking public transport to st.anns road for work. This LTN is one of the worst decisions from Haringey. It is such a selfish move for a very small group of residents. My children who live on West Green road now have constant traffic outside our home with the increased flow since La Rose Lane had the LTN imposed. I really think this should be a school gate closure. Operational during school times only.
The signage was very poor during the works, not many people knew La Rose Lane was once again open. I’ve already shared to my councillor. I guess only some children’s lungs matter

And nicer to cycle too. I walked to Green Lanes and back yesterday, going down La Rose Lane on my way out and back via WGR. There were a few confused drivers by the planter boxes but they all turned around. It was really quiet and easy to cross the road at the St Ann's Road end.

I thought the signage was very clear. In the run up to the changes large dot matrix signs advertising date of LTN reintroduction placed in several locations, the filters themselves had the date added to the temporary yellow emergency access over-signs in advance, and the key change was the removal of the yellow over-signs and reversion to the Highway Code no motor vehicle access except with permit.

La Rose Lane
In the dim distant days when I was a councillor, residents routinely brought such complaints to me and my fellow ward councillors. Sometimes with helpful photos - though it wasn't as cheap and simple to do this as now. Spending time on the local streets etc , was seen as part of a councillor's job. Each ward has two or three councillors so this work could be shared if they speak to one another.

Posting on a website as well as making direct contact with councillors can be a useful 'belt-and-braces' method. Especially as not every councillor may have come across social media. Some still use the telephone or meet residents face to face. I imagine them dipping their quill pens in little inkwells.

In the Crouch End / Hornsey area the Lib. Dems are pretty good at distributing information that might impact the local community e.g. anticipated duration of roadworks.
I asked out former Councillor, Adam Jogee, why he never advised local residents of such issues. He replied: 'I don't do social media.'
You can imagine my surprise when I discovered almost daily posts on Facebook (Adam Jogee for Newcastle-Under-Lyme) in the months running up to the general election. It appears, when it came to self-promotion, that he very much 'did social media.'
