Mercenary River Talk by the author | Bruce Castle | This Thursday

After reading Nick's excellent book about the New River earlier this year and posting about it on HoL, I was contacted by the author asking if I knew of "any local history groups or similar organisations in your neck of the woods who might interested in hosting a talk".

I put him in touch with with the Hornsey Historical Society and with Deborah Hedgecock at Bruce Castle Museum. I'm delighted to report, if at rather short notice, that Nick is now giving a talk at Bruce Castle this Thursday.

See my comments in my last posting about this book - if Nick speaks as well as he writes, it should be a talk that's well worth attending.
