I'm not sure whether this has been shared elsewhere on HOL - can't see it in a search but...
We have recently received a note through our front door that the St Ann's Low Traffic Neighbourhood will be implemented on 22 August.
This is a heads-up for anyone living in or driving through the area between West Green Road and St Ann's Road. There will no longer be a direct route between the two major roads unless you are a bus or have a 'X2' exemption pass.
Woodlands Park Road, Black Boy Lane, Cornwall Road and Avenue Road will all be closed to through traffic.
The restriction points will be monitored by CCTV, so no doubt LBH will be issuing lots of PCNs! Drivers beware!
I attach two documents, one a map of the area showing the traffic cells as they will be after implementation, and the other the supporting document.

A lot of it is supposed to evaporate as people choose different ways to travel.
John McM — Well, they obviously chose the Ladder in preference to the Gardens, judging by your and other comments on here! I wonder where the LTN-displaced traffic will choose….? “Choice” of different ways implies alternatives — step forward TfL and bus cuts, and LB Haringey’s failure to do anything about Green Lanes — so expect even more traffic on Wightman, now about to become a “boundary” road.
An ex councillor from Hackney has questioned this here.
John, so LTNs for all then !!!! , egalitarian to boot.
it still doesn’t explain why the LTN lobby are so happy to allow hundreds of thousands of Mercian's / Anglian’s etc to enter London, pollute the arse out of the place and leave without any sanction what so ever.
But! It’s all good for us, and it gets our Lardy arse’s out of our comfort zones drops our collective bmi and we can now suck up all that Mercian pollution as we stroll along the Boundary roads.
Anyway none of this matters at all. the LTNs are here to stay as far as I can see. So you have what you want, or will have as soon as the ladder roads are cut in half preventing east west movement, the future is bright!! The future is stationary!!
Finally, any chance of someone with a drone patrolling the hood over winter so we can find those log/coal burners polluting the air in the next LTN over. That would be great. It’s about time there was a plan for that.
I’m tired of breathing all the smoke rolling down from the Haringey heights, its going to be well smoggy down here in a week or two.
How to you differentiate the difference between the 2 smokes from "Haringey Heights" and the the hot grills of Green Lanes?
Personally - "I love the smell of diesel in the morning!"
The restaurants should become unviable over the winter and cost of living thing, so the grills will cool and finally flicker out, Like the furnace’s of the north. So it shouldn’t be a problem.
Re the diesel - me too!! Makes you feel alive first thing in the morning! Keeps you awake to spot the Lane’s traffic light jumpers when your crossing.
Just for information, our own MP, David Lammy did a 10 minute Ted Talk for SOAS two years ago on the topic of environment and racism. You can find it at
https://study.soas.ac.uk/david-lammy-ted-talk/ via @@SOAS
Perhaps David could have a word with his local councillors about the damage their LTN's are causing to the health and well being of the less prosperous citizens, you know, the ones that the Labour Party once fought for.
David Lammy thinks everything is racism. If that's all you look for, that's all you'll see. He should focus more on improving Tottenham for everyone instead of race grifting. Has he ever attracted any employers to the area? Any training opportunities for local people to gain valuable skills? Has Tottenham improved in any that can be attributed to his activities?
Today
Today on seven sisters. Disruption, as the latest clown in downing Street might call it.
Effective action to defeat big oil, end our reliance on cars and save the planet relies on unity of purpose and collective action by those who see these outcomes as desirable.
LTN's divide communities and create arbitrary winners and losers, destroying any prospect of real change. They are not the answer.
What is your answer to "...big oil, end our reliance on cars and save the planet..." then?
