Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hi folks. Does anyone recognise the cat in these pictures? I'm assuming it's a male cat, based on the size and weight (I picked him up at one point - he's quite heavy!)

Very friendly cat, but flips between very relaxed (quite happy to sunbathe in our garden for a whole day) and a bit needy - meowing loudly to be let into the house.

He/she has no collar. Seems pretty well fed and generally healthy; coat looks quite shiny etc.

I'm on Fairfax Road. Please DM me if you think this cat might be yours!

Thanks,

Dan

Dear Dan

My name is Jack

I live on Wightman Rd near Hewitt.

That is my landlady's cat.  She is on vacation.  I'm supposed to be looking after it!

Can you please tell me where you live so I can collect him.

Thanks

Dear Dan

This is the cat.  His name is Sidney.

Best Wishes

Jack

Hi Dan,

That’s definitely my cat Sidney. Jack’s been looking after him while I’m away. We are always commenting on his shiny coat. He likes drinking milk and tuna in spring water so that may be why. He is a much loved cat. Jack is very reliable and we are in a panic that he has gone missing. I think he must have become disorientated in the hot weather. It would be great if you could contact Jack so we can arrange to get him home!

Jenny

Hi folks. Sorry for the late reply. I haven't seen Sidney for a while - he was last here a few days ago. Has he since returned home?

Hi Dan,

Thanks for that. No, there’s no sign of him yet. If you do see him again, just get in touch and Jack can collect him. Meanwhile we’ll carry on looking.

All the best,

Jenny

Thanks Jenny. If you or Jack want to send me a DM with your mobile numbers, I can call you if/when I see Sidney. Otherwise I can message on here.

Morning Jenny & Jack. I'm happy to say that I saw Sidney in my garden last night (from my window) - so he's alive and well. He moved into the neighbour's garden before I was able to get out. Next time I will try to bring him into the house (he's usually quite keen to come in) and keep him there until you/Jack can collect him.

Hi Dan

If you can catch him and you can keep him in the house I can bring a cage with me and meet you in the park or the other end of Fairfax Road at a time convenient for you.

Just leave a message on the site

Thanks Jack

Jack

Hi Jack. I'm not sure Sidney would appreciate being carried from my house to Fairland Park, so might be easiest if you come to the house (if/when I manage to catch Sidney). I'll DM you the address at the time.
