Forced to climb over fences. They mean climbing over fences cos they didn't have a ticket? Bought time these festivals were moved to a better location.

The thin blue line...

THE THIN BLUE LINE is the name of a Far Right section within the police force that's recently been making headlines both here and in the States . . .

I didn't know that.

It also highlights that the police are often all that protect society from the sort of chaos seen in Finsbury Park

I remember the Tottenham riots. Had the police not been there I shudder to think what else would have happened.

Well Mark Duggan wouldn't been assassinated in the first place, so they may well never have happened!

This is an irresponsible thing to say. It's also untrue.

What does "far right" mean?

It means linked to neo-Nazi / white supremacist organisations.

Same as it's always meant.

For some people around here far right means someone who believes in law and order or votes Lib Dem. You're right to check Dan.

It doesn't mean that for anyone, but obviously, if you have views that tend in that direction, it's useful to pretend that somehow people who oppose the far right and who worry about the increasing radicalisation of police officers by the far right are somehow actually the real extremists and that Lib Dem voters are getting smeared with the label when they're not.
