Just a heads up if anyone will be trying to pay for a new residents parking permit online. The Haringey website has an issue with taking Mastercard payments and just frustratingly shuts down the application process, so if you're going to pay online for the above service then have a Visa card at the ready.

That’s bonkers. Something like 1 in 5 online transactions are Mastercard. I really hope that Haringey are giving the supplier of this system hell for the pig in a poke they were sold.
Santander use Mastercard debit cards now - what are you supposed to do if you if you don't have a Visa one? Can you still get paper tickets?
Yes, you can still get paper visitor permits. You can apply to get them at the library. They may tell you that you have to do it online but insist that you can get paper ones. If you have a problem, say Sue Marshall said I could get paper visitor permits. I got some recently. James
which Library are you referring to?
Yes Mastercard seem to be the cards of choice by most banks these days. My Santander cards and my Starling bank card are all Mastercard. Luckily enough my wife's soon to expire Nat West card is a Visa card so I had to use that card to pay for my permit. No there are no more paper tickets. It's a bloody nightmare if you need to pay for a new permit and you haven't got any cards other than Mastercard, what are you to do if you get a parking ticket due to this issue? As much as I love to kick Haringey council up the proverbial when they mess up I have to be honest and point out that this issue is currently a Mastercard one as it's not just Haringey payment services that are a problem when using Mastercard banking cards.
