Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

We reported a few months back on the call for a Community Toilet scheme for Haringey High Streets.

Tottenham High Road has led the way with 6 businesses signing up and receiving help from the council to keep them clean and maintained. Some in Crouch End are now suggesting they would like a similar scheme there, as pub landlords, in particular, are suggesting they are already being used as unofficial lavs and bearing the brunt of the costs without people buying a drink.

A council spokesman concludes the article by saying "We would urge any businesses from Crouch End who are interested in a similar scheme to contact us."

So should we be asking local businesses in Green Lanes to call for a similar scheme for our high street?

If the Town Hall development plans will result in this toilet block being demolished, why don't the Town hall development plans include a toilet ?

I occasionally use pub toilets without buying drink, but I always leave 20p on the counter as a tip.
Surely that's what all those betting shops are there for? I expect their toilets are at least as good as that one in Trainspotting.
Oddly enough, this comment was once made by a bloke to me re betting shops. He observed that they usually have quite decent toilets with paper. However, sadly, they are not an option for those with young children or (probably) most women.
They don't even supply that option. Due to problems with drug usage the toilets are locked and usage is controlled from the front desk. Maybe "Betfred" will be more druggie friendly.
Surely there cannot be a connection between betting and drug use? How can that possibly be true?
