Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

From the Green Party blog,

Anne Gray, is the Green Party’s prospective Parliamentary candidate for Tottenham.

She stood in the Seven Sisters election and this is the main information that I can find on her here and from the Haringey Independent

The blog reads more like ' the socialist workers party' blog.. and so are lots of their policies.. they don't fit in much with other 'European Green Parties'..
Whether they should be in the European Green Party Group.. nah I don't think so.. they've coloured themselves 'green' but scratch the surface and you'll see they're 'deep red'...
They may have some socialist tendencies as you would expect but they are not the SWP by any stretch and in fact turned down a coalition with Respect (who are in the same circles) a couple of years ago because George Galloway believed more in industrialisation and not environmentalism.
There is no big mystery about Green Party policies. Have a look at our sites and decide for yourself:-

and me, I've started a personal candidate blog on http://agtottenham.blogspot.com.
Respect can speak for themselves if they are out there somewhere. But whatever anyone thinks about shades of red and green, I am proud to be standing for a party that mixes concern with the environment with a big emphasis on social justice - like more progressive taxation, a higher minimum wage, better pensions and child benefit, preserving the public sector against privatisation and rebuilding an economy that produces what people need rather than financial bubbles.
Unless Anne has moved, she lives about a mile from you, Liz. Have you met and talked to her?

If not, I'm sure you'd enjoy doing an interview! Although it's many years since I met her, and I don't agree with all of Anne's published views, I found her thoughtful, stimulating, original and fiercely committed to progressive causes.
