After reading about St Ann's Food Hub on Harringay Online I have become a volunteer, helping to distribute fresh fruit and veg. It is really worthwhile and if you can spare a couple of hours on a Friday or Saturday to volunteer you would be very welcome. We sell boxes of fruit and veg for £10 each and encourage people to gift a box to those in need, who are nominated by local charities- we call these 'solidarity boxes'. We operate from Chestnuts Community Centre and each week we distribute some 100 boxes of which two thirds are solidarity boxes. If you can afford it please buy or gift a box. You can find more information here:https://www.stannsfoodhub.org/
Thanks for doing this Richard. It's a great initiative. I know a few people who've benefitted.
Thanks, Devon!
During winter demand for Solidarity boxes continues
so if you can afford £10 please gift a box, and buy one for
yourself!
We always need volunteers and if you can spare a couple
of hours please let us know via the website. The link is
above. Many thanks.
