If you leave it out at the front, it will go quickly. We’re doing work on our house and I’m amazed how fast someone in a van always turns up to pick up metal left out; generally in half an hour if it’s in an obvious spot or in a pile of builder’s rubble. Lots of eagle eyed people out on the streets…

There is a place on the east side of Downhills road, behind the business on the corner with Philip Lane, that may take non-ferrous metal.

Also, on corner of Tewkesbury & Netherton Rds, in South Tottenham that buys non-ferrous stuff and where I got £75++ from selling my old lead pipes and bathroom/kitchen fittings (chromed brass).

Otherwise you can, as someone has mentioned, leave smaller bits outside in full view, and they will usually be gone after a while. Please just don't leave it blocking the public footpath or highway.
