Hello,
I've got a bit of a mixed bag of jobs and not sure if I need a builder or would be better seeking individual tradespeople to asses the repairs needed.
There is damage to an external wall from a vent pipe coming loose and causing internal damp/plaster damage, which all needs repairing and is in an awkward place so will need scaffold. I also needs some minor plumbing (bathroom tap replacement), decorating, electrical repairs and a worktop shortening to allow for a larger cooker.
Ideally I'd like someone who can cover all of these areas and fit this kind of work in which may be a big ask. Advice greatly appreciated if I should instead seek out individuals who may prefer smaller jobs and are specialised in each of the areas.
Many thanks everyone!

Hi can I ask who you used? I have a leaking pipe and need the ceiling/ flooring pulled and placed back. So I need a plumber for the pipe and a separate handyman/ builder for the other?
Thanks
Leena
Hi Leena,
Apologies for not getting back to you sooner, work took over and I'm just catching up on everything. My friend owns the property so he ended up deciding to go with someone he knew for the building repairs, but they have been rather difficult to pin down for availability so not sure they would be who I would recommend. The plumber he used was really good and came quickly so if you haven't had that repaired yet then I can give you his number.
Hopefully the leak is fixed by now though. Sorry again for delay,
Katie
Hi Katie
Thanks for getting back to me, we obtained 3 different opinions and quote and no one has been able to address the underlying issue which is still ongoing. Now we are speaking with a trace and search company to identify the exact location of the leak and take it from there.
Hope your friend has there property sorted.
Leena
