That's very pretty.

I've had a colony of primula vera that has established itself and includes plants producing flowers with a range of colours. I also have some very attractive Carr's Hybrid as marginals in the pond.

And is that a 'Bowles Mauve' perennial wallflower behind it? I've had a couple of these and they are very good value - they keep flowering for much of the year, but after a few years get too leggy for my small garden and need replacing.

I trust you've been to visit Myddleton House Gardens in Enfield where the eponymous E.A.Bowles grew his rare plant collection?

Indeed it is. It is now demised and its successor didn't survive for some reason. They're great basic plants to build around.

And yes, been to MH mnay times - also conveniently near Clockhouse!
