Are more shops shut on Green Lanes than last week

Maybe it was just because it was a Tuesday(?) lunchtime but lots more shops seemed to be shuttered.

I wonder if the council have been round or if it's a show of civic responsibility.

Hope they get round to the Hat Man shop on the Turnpike Lane crossroads. Never knew that baseball caps and umbrellas were essential,goods.

I went there a few weeks ago for an emergency facemask! The elastic for around my ears snapped as I was putting mine on.

There was a TV news report yesterday from what looked like a completely deserted Southend....quite a contrast.
