Not so long ago market gardens that fed London were common in Haringey. Now, renewed interest in buying local is encouraging a resurgence, in the form of what some people have termed ‘micro-farms’.
They mainly grow vegetables but in the Wolves Lane horticultural centre, a flower farm has been developed. The Wolves Lane Flower Company is the creation of Marianne Mogendorff and Camila Klich, is one of several interesting enterprises renting space in the former Wood Green nursery where Haringey Council grew bedding plants.
Using organic methods, they produce flowers for local florists and designers. Recently, the company has launched, a new venture, the Wolves Lane Flower Club. Subscribing to the club (currently £40) gives you a monthly bucket of seasonal flowers will arrive on your doorstep for six months, starting in April. They will be local, organically grown and hopefully very beautiful.

Do you sell flowers to the public in the growng season at Wolves Lane events ?The flowers look wonderful but £40 a month would be beyond my budget - though an occasional bunch would be a joy. Thanks
