Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

I noticed this morning that someone/thing (possibly a goaded dog) has attacked the tree in the middle of Fairland Park. The tree will survive, it is damage to the bark. However, I wanted to alert people. Anti-social behaviour indeed. Horrible.

Is the refit for Fairland is still happening? I read that work will start on 10 January 2010. However, in the latest "Haringey People" (or whatever it's called) there was a short news piece about lots of future work on Haringey parks and open spaces but Fairland WAS NOT MENTIONED? Could someone confirm?

Thanks

Hi Laura

I also saw this damaged tree yesterday and have reported it Steve Hall, who is the neighbourhood manager for Fairland. He says this problem has occurred in other parks - he is going to investigate.

The Fairland refit will be starting at the beginning of February and will be completed by the end of March.

Regards

Adam
