Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

"Nobody gives even the smallest smidgen of the tiniest monkey's bum"

So says The Guardian's Lucy Morgan, writing about how we feel about our elected politicians.

Well, do you?

Whats wrong with monkeys bums ?
I could not get to the end of Ms Mangan's article because of a sense of overwhelming boredom at such lazy and unproductive journalism. It was just a string of platitudes held together with some feeble jokes. That she gets paid for such idle comment is shameful.

I'm not sure what our sisters who fought so hard for a woman's right to vote would make of Lucy's lazy drawl about voting being an excuse to get out of the office. Actually if she got out of the office a bit more and had a look at the world beyond the Guardian life and style pages, she might find that politics is in everything we talk about: betting shops, schools, traffic etc and that our responsibility does not stop the minute we have voted and gone back to our desks. Emily must be spinning...
What do you expect from someone who has just compiled a top 50 list children's books?
I could compile a list of 50 kids books, doesn't make me a child or have childish views. Think many children's books actually teach that you have a responsibility to think for yourself and act for good.
But she put SOOO much effort into justifying every single one. It rotted her brain.
She probably cut and pasted them from someone else. That article had the air of being C&P from the more negative additions to the Comment is Free page. I'm imagining a deadline was looming and she'd spent the week playing Farmville on Facebook...
