Harringay online

Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hi,

I have been trying to get visitor permits since mid August without success.

I have filled out the form online on August 12th to get registered, to get my initial Application ID and permit reference number. I am still waiting to get a confirmation email with this information.

Anyone else having issues? Any idea how I can speed up the process. I tried the phone number provided on the website but voice mail says they can't take the call now, try again later.

Can I go to Wood Green Library and buy permits without having an application ID and permit reference number?

I urgently need visitor permits for builders for next week in the Woodlands Park Road area.

Anyone got any to sell?

thanks,

Peter

Good outcome to a similar issue reported by Sally here (end P 2)

ahh great, thanks for your swift reply. I just contacted them on Twitter.

Fingers crossed you'll get them soon.

I just contacted them on twitter. let's see.

Update: they have replied to my tweet within an hour. They have just sent me my details so I can purchase the permits online.

thanks for your help ! super efficient. Now I just need to get hold of some permits ;)

I have some for green lanes are which expire this year and selling half price

hi Tigha, do you mean the area Green Lanes? if yes then I would happily buy them off you.

I'm having the same issue! I guess I'll try Twitter then!

Yes I'd give it a go. t's not the official Haringey account but a separate one called Contact Haringey (https://twitter.com/ContactHaringey). It was honestly super quick. If only I had done it earlier.

Thanks Peter, I also contacted them on Twitter today as my vouchers hadn't arrived after 4 weeks. They replied to say that 'they had not been processed for some reason' and then told me that they'd now been printed and are being posted today, so advise that anyone else chases or they may never arrive!

Good point, I was going to double-check with them if they had sent the vouchers as they say they will be dispatched within 4 working days. So I'll give them another day or 2.

I received my permits today via Royal Mail. I messaged them on Twitter again yesterday checking about my vouchers and they confirmed with within 2 hours that they had been sent the previous day (so on Monday). So I highly recommend chasing them on Twitter. They seemed to be extremely efficient and my permits did arrive within the 4 working days they state on the council website.

Call the main council number 0208 489 0000 follow the options for parking, and then you will get info about doing things online, they will probably send a link to your mobile if you call from it, and then you will get an option to talk to somebody, when we rang there was 11 minutes waiting time, and we were position 9, so opted for the call back option, and they rang back about 45 minutes later, better than being on hold, and dealt with the matter there and then.
