Hi All,

I need recommendations on where I can quickly organise a birthday cake for my big brother. It doesn't need to be big at all but just wanted to get something nice for his birthday. Unfortunately I had found somewhere but due to unforeseen circumstances they can no longer complete the order so I have to find a replacement ASAP. His birthday is on Monday 27th July so not much time left!

Have you tried Snug Cafe on Green Lanes - I think you can order a whole cake from there.

I always do birthday cakes for my team at work from Yasar Halim - they're very reasonably priced and they will ice a message on the top. If you want a standard size you can just walk in and they'll do it straight away. It's a very light sponge with cream and fruit, and everyone seems to really like it. We've had complaints when we've gone for Colin the Caterpillar instead!
