The inhabitants of these hideous estates (and/or their guests) appear to foment unrest pretty regularly; wasn’t there a mini riot not too long ago?

What a disgusting comment. The 'inhabitants of these disgusting estates' are slowly being financially cleansed through a hardline gentrification process that forces people with deep roots in the area out and that privileges foreign investment and wealth. These 'inhabitants' are also disprportionately affected by Covid-19 and by heavy-handed policing. Maybe worth getting a fuller picture before mouthing off.

Did you watch the video ? It looks as if the policing was very restrained.

It’s a pretty factual statement so maybe you should consider your bias when responding (and misquoting what I said.) This is the second time illegal raves are taking place on these estates, in both cases demanding a substantial effort on the part of our Police to contain these belligerents, who threw massive paving blocks at the policemen and women.

And yes, the estates look like something straight out of North Korea’s architectural rule book, but I’m sure they’d keep the use of bricks or paving stones to a minimum lest they become armaments in the hands of protesters...

Hideous estates is not fact it is an opinion and unrest pretty regularly is also not a fact, it is an opinion. Just saying,

More footage. The second video here taken from behind the police lines, shows some of what was thrown at them.

was it a gay gig? I can only see men wandering about here....

I imagine most women would have more sense than to behave like these hooligans.

Joys of people believing their Rights , are more important than other Residents

Funny how these problem estates are always in Labour Controlled Boroughs . Where elected Ward Councillors must have signed off these estates

The estate was built by the London County Council between 1934 and 1962

But stilled Controlled by Hackney Council
